Our staff

Our staff are a dedicated team who are there to assist you, the patient, in feeling comfortable and relaxed in our practice. As we offer a wide range of dental treatments to our patients, our staff will endeavour to assist and advise our patients in their dental needs.

Practice Principal

Dr Christiaan Gouws BSc (Pret) BChD (Pret) DPDS (U.Bristol)

Dr Gouws graduated in 1991 from the University of Pretoria (South Africa).
After spending five years in private practice in South Africa, he moved with his family to England in 1996, where he joined a practice in Reading as an associate. Dr Gouws was also offered a part time position at the Royal Berkshire Hospital as Clinical Assistant in the Orthodontic Department, which he held for three years. He went on to complete a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies at the University of Bristol in 2004.

Dr Gouws purchased Aylesbury Dental Care in 2005, and gradually transformed the practice into a full private practice. With growing demand for quality dentistry as well as cosmetic dentistry in the UK, as some of you may perhaps have noticed on television as well as in the media, he saw the opportunity to assist the local patients with their dental needs by providing a wide range of dental treatments, including cosmetic dentistry.

Dr Gouws has over 16 years' experience in orthodontics and holds a clinical session once a week in a specialist orthodontic practice. He also worked closely with the Eastman Dental Institute in London where he still attends clinical seminars in the field of cosmetic dentistry.

Dr Gouws is registered with the General Dental Council and is also a full member of the British Orthodontic Society as well as the British Dental Association.

Dr Paul Cruci MSc Impl Dent (Warw) BDS (Lon) FDSRCS (Edin) DPDS (Brist) MGDSRCS (Eng) MFGDP (UK) LDSRCS (Eng) GDC Registered Specialist in Endodontics

We are proud to announce that we have appointed Dr Paul Cruci to provide the surgical phase of our dental implant services to all our patients, including new patients. Dr Cruci will provide this service for our patients at his own surgery.

Paul qualified from the University College London in 1981 and has since gained numerous postgraduate dental qualifications, most recently MSc Impl Dent 2008 (Warw).

Paul is also Associate Fellow, Warwick Medical School, MSc Impl Dent Course and is a part-time lecturer, University Birmingham Dental School.

Paul is a GDC registered specialist in endodontics and will continue to provide our patients with endodontic (root canal) services for our more challenging cases.
